Bridgeport Sound Tigers VS Lehigh Valley Phantoms @ Lehigh 3/8/20

Facebook

1.Facebook would be Photos from the game in a gallery showing highlights of key parts of the game like the first goals and the last goals.

2.Another would the article I wrote about the game that would be posted at the end of the game highlighting key events to those who missed the game

3.The last would be a player interview highlight. Maybe about Nate Prosser in the penalty box and what he thought of the game. Or a biography about him.

2.I would create a post with the head coach or a coach from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and interview him pre game. It will be a short video where I ask how he thinks the game will go.

3.At the end of the game I would interview Travis St. Denis about the game and what he thought went well.

Sports Photos

All three of these images came from Tuscon.com. They were images from the 95th annual Fiesta de los Vaqueros Tucson Rodeo. Which is a giant rodeo. I choose these because it is a different sport than the main stream ones. It also takes guts to participate in these events.

  1. The first image stood out to me because it capture the movement. The photographer used a slower shutter speed which captured the great action of the horse moving.
  2. I choose this photo for the detail. You can tell the horse is wild because of how short and scruffy the hair on his body. I also like the face on the rider as he realizes hes about to hit the ground.
  3. I like the colors of the rodeo clowns as they dodge the bull. These men work hard and the clothes they’re are wearing stands out on the dark background of the brown dirt. The photographer utilized a fast shutter speed to capture the dirt flying up to make people realize the movement of the angry bull. All and all very good photos.

Hello my name Is Joe Bulwidas. I am a senior at SCSU studying journalism. I am the Program Director at WSIN radio and I host Joe’s Jammin’ Ride. I’m going to be honest I’m not really into sports. I’m more into cars and music. I’m a fan of Led Zeppelin and Neil Young. Drifting is pretty cool but on the amateur level, I’m not following any of the guys participating in Formula Drift tournaments. Growing up my father and grandfather didn’t watch sports. We watched movies and television. I love movies because of them.I used to swim in high school and I played ultimate Frisbee with buddies once in awhile. Some of my friends watch and follow sports but I never really had interest in getting into sports. I know various teams due to my friends. I know my friend Hunter likes the Spurs for Basketball. My friend Trevor likes the Giants for Football and my little brother likes the Seahawks. He only got into sports because his friends liked them and he liked playing games with them. He really can throw a football. Every time someone asks me about sports I think of Ernest Hemmigways quote , “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely games.” Which I kinda agree, motor racing is a serious sport and takes a lot of guts to participate with. I’ve heard of more guys dying while racing than guys playing baseball. Also bullfighting is no joke. I’ve read the Sun Also Rises and that whole story was crazy. The only sports journalist I know of is Hunter S. Thompson. He covered the Mint 500 I think and wrote about his experiences for Rolling Stones magazine. The story turned into Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas but he did do some covering of the race in between all the coke and ether.

So I am kinda clueless but I know I’ll learn a lot in this class and maybe teach people about drag racing or drifting. Maybe some music they haven’t heard before also.
